Russian Copper Company is the third largest copper producer in Russia. The RCC companies are located in the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg and Novgorod regions and Kazakhstan. The holding company consists of five mining companies, a hydrometallurgical plant, three steel factory and one trading company engaged in the sale of products of all enterprises of the holding. The main owner of the company is the billionaire Igor Altushkin. The company was founded in 2003. Until 2008 the RCC owned Revda factory of non-ferrous metals; in 2008 it was sold to the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (formally the transaction was closed in 2009).
Russian Copper Company is a vertically integrated industrial holding, a part of which there are 10 operating companies. Ranked third place in Russia in terms of copper cathode, and the second place in Russia in terms of production of copper wire rod.
