According to Ferrexpo Plc, in 2016, the total pellet production by the company decreased by 4% to 11.2 million tons from 11.7 million tons in 2015. At the same time, the sales of the material increased from 11.3 million tons in 2015 to 11.7 million tons. The fall in the production is associated with the modernization of a conveyor belt in pelletising workshop of the Ukrainian enterprise companies and problems with the third party’s concentrate.
According to the company, in 2016, it successfully worked on the debt reduction and improved its capital structure.
In 2017, Ferrexpo expects a moderate growth in the total volume of the production, although the prime costs will vary depending on the hryvnia exchange rate and the inflation rate in the Ukraine.
