Within 2017 the Metallurgical Plant "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog" will receive $ 400 million for the development. The funds will be invested into modernization of production, capital repairs of the equipment and construction of new units, the press-service of the enterprise informs.
Among the key projects for the current year are the construction of continuous casting machine №2 with the capacity of 1.3 million tons per year, the modernization of small-section mill №4, current repairs of blast furnaces and 2-balanced steelmaking unit.
"The main objectives of this phase of the investment program are to increase the productivity of production, to replace outdated equipment with new and environmentally safe. <...> The volume of funds, which are invested into the development of the Metallurgical Plant - is another confirmation of readiness to fully upgrade "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog" by 2020. The new production units and equipment are necessary for the enterprise to operate in accordance with best international standards, meet the needs of consumers and remain competitive in the markets", - the press release informs.
