Billion rubles will be directed into the Yesaulsk mine development.
EVRAZ has approved an investment project for the development of the reservoir 29a at the Yesaulsk mine with balance reserves of more than 10 million tons of coking coal of a valuable Gzh grade. Seam thickness is nearly three meters. Production is scheduled to begin in Q3 2019 with the launch of Lava 29-37. Investment into the project will amount to 1 billion roubles.
"Current reserves at "Yesaulskaya" come to an end in 2.5 years. The transition to the new reservoir will help to keep the company and jobs, - the General Director of Raspadskaya Coal Company Sergey Stepanov. - Today it is necessary for the team to make every effort to quickly implement complex, but promising project and to ensure a stable future for the mine".
The development of the reservoir project is planned to be run in two phases: the first involves the testing of lava on the flank slopes, the second - the development of reserves, located in the central part of the reservoir. Integrated degassing system provides safe mining operations. Technical work on opening was already conducted, tunnel faces are being prepared. For the timely preparation of inventory without breaking the clearing front purchasing a set of modern mining equipment is planned: tunneling machines of domestic production-KP 21, self-protracting end systems and self-propelled cars. Also monorail with the length of 11.5 km will be installed under the ground to transport people and materials, and more than 10 km of conveyor belts to transport the coal from the coal formation to the new warehouse.
Currently, the "Yesaulsk" mine fulfills lava 26-32 on the horizon 26. The average annual production is nearly 1.4 million tons of coal. With the transition to a new layer the enterprise plans to increase coal production to 2 million tons per year.
The "Yesaulsk" mine is managed by LLC "Raspadskaya Coal Company", which also performs the functions of the managing entity in respect of other coal assets of PJSC "Raspadskaya" and JSC "GCC" JUzhkuzbassugol "(part of the Evraz).
