KAZ Minerals increased copper production by 73%

KAZ Minerals has announced of a 73% growth of copper production in 2016 and forecast its further increase in 2017 due to the reaching a full capacity of the Bozshakol project and start of extraction of sulfide ore at Aktogay.

On the results of 2016 KAZ Minerals produced 140.000 thousand tons of cathode copper at the plan of 135.000-145.000 thousand tons and compared with 81.000 thousand tons in 2015.

The company expects the gross expenditure on the results of the year to bee by 20% lower than the lower rate of the forecast range of 140-160 cents per a pound of products.
