The authorities of the Krasnoyarsk region and Norilsk Nickel will develop a personnel training program for the industry and the mining and metallurgical complex, the press centre of the Krasnoyarsk representative office of Norilsk Nickel reports.
"President of Norilsk Nickel Vladimir Potanin and the Krasnoyarsk region’s Governor Viktor Tolokonsky signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of vocational and further education system on the basis of the region's institutions. By October 30, 2017, the parties will prepare a program of the qualified personnel training for the mining and metallurgical industry and industry of the region," - the press centre informs.
The company noted that the joint work would allow them to bring the educational programs close to the actual needs of the industry and to predict the need of the regional economy for skilled workers and specialties.
"We are interested in the inflow of talented youth and are willing to invest in its preparation. Modern workers should be able to manage large projects, have business skills. The education should be based on the real needs of the business and its priorities, to be a mean of solving strategic tasks. Therefore, in parallel with the support of the entire system of the regional education the corporate training in Norilsk is transformed too,"- the press centre cited Potanin.
