The deposit will be officially launched in 2017. The plant is to reach its project capacity in 2018.
Polyus has reported on its operational results at the Natalka deposit in the Magadan region in 2016. According to the annual report, currently Polyus goes on the operation of the experimental-industrial unit and along with this prepares the deposit for putting into operation in 2017.
In 2016 the construction of the ore crushing complex and main conveyors was completed at the deposit as well as the 1-km long underground tunnel. The operation of the experimental and industrial unit with the capacity of 100 thousand tons went on. Dore gold production made up 5 thousand ounces over the year.
Currently the construction of the crushed ore storage and a circulation water supply system are being constructed.
At the crushing shop the equipment has already been installed. Simultaneously with this the objects of the energy and auxiliary infrastructure are being constructed.
In Q1 2017 the rest processing equipment will be delivered to the Natalka deposit.
The plant will reach its project capacity of 10 mln tons of ore by 2018. The annual volume of gold production will be 500 thousand ounces.
